As I pass friends and individuals that
might know a bit more than the basic
astrology, they always freeze when
Mercury goes Retrograde. Why? Well,
let’s explore the concept for a little
while and it might help some of you –
especially Librans during September 24th
through October 15th when Mercury moves
through Libra. Mercury is the planet
signifying communication, speech, phones
(yes of course I-Pods and your
Blackberry), cars, travel and just about
anything else that scientists have
invented allowing us to communicate or
move about in amazing new ways.
A Retrograde motion can be seen as a
stand still but is actually an
astronomical pull from one planet to
another. In the case of Mercury – she
moves closer to the Sun – pulling our
forms of communication and travel to be
distracted, interrupted, confusing and
at times totally disconnected! Mercury
moves Retrograde around three times per
year. Life has to move forward but the
strongest advice I give to clients when
asked is to never buy a car or make
major life decisions during this period.
And of course if the person in question
is being affected strongly, there would
be the suggestion not to sign any
important papers as well. I often
suggest for individuals to take
advantage of this time period and finish
project on their desk or do major
research about issues in their lives, in
school, or at work. It is an exceptional
beneficial period to write or create art
work. The mind, Mercury is allowed to be
in the “stand-still” motion but observed
with its own inner wisdom and
creativity. When Mercury starts to pull
away from the Sun – it moves Direct
again – at times a few misunderstandings
or mistakes might have to be clarified –
but we are happy that we didn’t get that
hot red car – after all!
Aries
March 20 – April 19
Symbol: The Ram – a Fire sign
The Fall Equinox on September 22 will
start out with most Aries walking a path
of confrontations with a friend,
co-worker, lover, husband or wife – or
what ever might be in your way. Aries,
the Warrior is opposing three Peace
Seeking planets – so pick your battles!
However, with the forewarned message
here, you might like to sit down and
confront your opponent with courage
rather than rage. Also, with Mercury,
communication going Retrograde (see
article above) please don’t rush and
start a big project between September 24
and October 15. The New Moon on
September 29 will be for the true Aries
to have some Fire Action in the Romance
department – and if that doesn’t work
out – try again on October 12, 13 or
14th.
Taurus
April 19 – May 20
Symbol: A Bull, an Earth Sign
Ah, Venusians Taurus pay attention to
your sensual feelings any time that you
wish beginning September 24th to be
“finalized” around October 4th. Prolong
the physical release for the weekend!
You can indulge in the dark – or light
chocolate – during this time in case
that you don’t find the right partner
for the occasion… Your finances show
beneficial transits around October 5th.
All the patient work you have endured
lately with Saturn, the planet of work
and health creates a trine; a good sign
for having a break from the tightness in
your wallet (something that you don’t
like) is here for you to enjoy. Well,
you might also spend those dollars on
the gym after eating all that
scrumptious chocolate!
Gemini
May 20 – June 20
Symbol: A set of Twins, an Air Sign
Why do you have so many choices to make
at the moment? Because the sky – at the
end of September - graces you with
Mercury (Communication), Venus (Love and
Money) and Mars (Warrior, Arguments) in
Libra (Perfectionist, Peace Lover), and
Neptune, (Confusion, Magic), The Moon’s
Nodes (Karma, Fate), and some Healing in
Aquarius (Freedom, Eccentricity) added
to that quotation. Sounds great? Yes, it
can be – except when Trines are created
in the sky – we have to work a bit to
reach for it. So, message to all
Gemini’s just have some fun and don’t
force any important decision to the
table. Wait until Mid October and your
Life as a whole will be much better off.
And try not to think too much! It can
get on your nerves – and others around
you!
Cancer
June 20 – July 22
Symbol: The Crab, a Water Sign
This is not a good period for the
Emotional – sometimes Cry Baby, Basket
Case Cancer to make decisions of the
heart or mind. However, be true to your
nature and with-draw into your soft
shell and contemplate what direction you
are going. Opportunities are on its way
– some issues will be cleared up after
October 3rd – but please be patient and
stay in your cocoon until after October
16th. And if you have a very important
decision to make; like buying a house or
a car you should wait until the
beginning of November. That way you will
not “cry over spoiled milk”. Even though
you might any way! A business endeavor
or a promotion is knocking on your door,
but observe your boundaries, listen to
the options, meditate and even
contemplate – and then move forward late
October or early November.
Leo
Symbol: A Lion, a Fire sign.
July 22 – August 22
People from the past might get in touch
with you and at first it seems strange.
But not so! According to the Universal
Law of attraction, much interaction of
those from the past as well as the
future will enter your path around
September 29 or October 14th. May that
be as it is! One of those conversations
will be confusing, but also a touch of
Healing might be involved. After October
17th, Venus (Love and Affection) and
Mars (Action, Arguments) will Square
(good hard planetary work) your South
Node, (the Past), forcing you to truly
let go of the past. Done – Adios! With
careful planning the Full Moon on
October 14th promises new hope and
change for the better. And – please any
Leos with too much Ego left – let that
go as well…
Virgo
Symbol: Woman Carrying Wheat, an Earth
sign.
August 22 – September 22.
Since February of 2008, many Virgo
people have felt a strain and opposition
in their work as well as personal life.
This is the period to readjust and fine
tune small, important details about your
work and daily duties. You are preparing
your self for November 4th (Yes, the US
Election Day) and its line up of Saturn,
(structure, government, control) with
Uranus (revolution, electricity,
freedom) (and so many more implications
too lengthy to fit here…). Here is a
space in time for some hard working
Virgos to speculate on real estate, long
term investments (and some short ones…)
but of course not during September 24th
through October 4th when the planet for
signing papers goes “back-wards”, and
you will move back-wards as well if you
sign the papers too fast!
Libra
Symbol: the Scale, an Air sign.
September 21 – October 22.
Happy Libra and Happy Soul’s Month! Now
as your Soul has travelled around the
Sun for many years…
Most Libra people Loves to be in Love –
and then needs to be left alone. With
four Libra planets lined up close
together from September 18th through the
24th there will be talks about Peace and
Love. In Mass Consciousness as well as
in your Libra consciousness and it will
make the world a better place for a
short time! Venus moves into Scorpio on
the 25th and Mars will follow early
October. The quotation leaves the Sun
and Mercury dancing together with some
undecided matters perhaps better laid to
rest until you can feel what side of
your Scale, the symbol of Libra becomes
somewhat balanced. The Moon moves fast -
in 2 ½ days, the Moon has changed from
one sign to another – Aries, Taurus and
so on. New Moon in Libra on September
29th - setting an Intention such as “I
will practice how to speak to my lover
or boss” and on October 14th, the Full
Moon – you might say, “I deserve an
answer after five years together or I
need a raise no matter what the bad the
economy is – I need to put my dollars in
my gas tank”. Full Moon often comes with
conclusions of matters.
Scorpio
Symbol: Scorpio, a Water sign
October 22 – November 21.
Venus represents Female and the planet
Mars indicates Males in the basic
language of astrology. When they both
travel through Scorpio (sex, secrets,
dedication and …taxes) you might be
challenged with money and
confrontational issues. Sorry! There can
be misunderstandings in relationships -
especially after October 4th. Things
lightens up between the 15th and 19th as
Mercury and Venus moves forward. An
interesting point about Scorpio and its
symbol; the Scorpio will sting it self
to death when and if in danger. The next
layer of Scorpion conscious growth is
the Eagle – who will observe, prepare,
attack and devour its prey. The Eagle is
often painted by modern day artists
exploring the various stages of the
metamorphic Scorpio energy. The esoteric
writing explore the very last level as
the Phoenix, The Swan or a Dove as the
ultimate committed sign that Scorpio
truly is. All or nothing!
Sagittarius
Symbol: A Centaur with Bow and Arrow, a
Fire Sign
November 21 – December 21.
With some charming residue of those
Sagittarius that has not had major life
changes throughout 2007 and 2008 here is
the last hope of moving what needs to be
moved. With Mars helping out at then end
of September; observe what can “fire”
you up. Now, these are major changes and
might include the “love or your life’…
there’s been a few – but there is always
that one around the corner! It could be
a person older than you – or a younger –
what ever heart desire! Keep your
Charmer card open around October 11, 12,
13 and the 14th. Some of you might have
to work a bit with Saturn, restriction
and often hard work, but Uranus,
unexpected, unconventional planet will
help you out if you are willing to make

December 21 – January 20
Good things come to those that deserve
it! And you do – especially those
Capricorns that didn’t ask for too much
– or rather – didn’t steal from your
opponents. Some well earned rewards can
come your way around September 29th or
October 14th. The year 2009 will be a
ground breaking year for those that have
applied their Capricorn famous trait of
gaining success later in life. So, if
you feel that you have worked hard
enough, take that last crash course in
the fall of 2008 or early 2009 and see
your life blossom next year. This year
is about allowing your recourses on many
levels to bear fruit. The romance
department might suffer some – or in
need for commitment – on the Full Moon
October 14th but if you pay attention to
the New Moon on September 29th – your
situation mid October could also pull
your overall hardworking effort to that
same place of deserving better. Why not?
Aquarius
Symbol: An Urn Bearer, an Air Sign
January 20 – February 19
With the Healer Chiron (asteroid
discovered in 1977, representing that
little spot in us that still needs to be
healed) and your Karmic Path point of
the North Node – and Neptune, who makes
sure you believe in Miracles and that
nothing is strange (only synchronicity)
- you will have an unusual, interesting
period. These planetary configurations
are lined up with the Libra energy
seeking some sense in it all. Let the
excitement begin and allow those people
from the past be part of your future.
You will be much better off. And don’t
try to analyze it in the Therapist’s
office – just embrace the uniqueness
around you. Both inside and out – and
you know how to step out of the box. In
early October – it is advised not to
keep your secrets hidden but allowing
transformational Scorpio planets lead to
your next level of commitments.
Pisces
February 19 – March 20
Symbol: Two Fish Swimming in Opposite
Direction – A Water sign
It is hard for some Pisces people to be
honest to the truth and tend to stay in
the dark; escaping to a safe zone of
denial. Well, Saturn will start to get
it all turned around and the first two
weeks of October is about seeking the
true answer. If you find your self
working to hard, screaming at your kids
or even drinking too much wine lately –
you need to face up to Saturn (timing,
restrictions, responsibility and
maturity). There is a time for
everything and now is the time to move
onto that other side of your family,
work, friends and perhaps nature. You
will have a personal revolution where
both Venus (love, compassion, heart) and
Mars (action, honesty, and arguments)
will be confronted in your fussy world.
The Pisces that has discovered their
kosher passion will blossom with true
Visions and have the gallery opening,
allow healing to occur and walk their
path with dignity. Enough of denial and
